Position: Applications Systems Analyst – Intermediate – TS/SCI Clearance Required
At GDIT, we are dedicated to transforming technology into opportunities. As an Applications Systems Analyst - Intermediate, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the systems that are crucial for our operations. Your contributions will be essential in improving the efficiency of agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Under general supervision, define and formulate system scope and objectives through comprehensive research and analysis to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.
- Prepare detailed specifications that will guide the programming process.
- Analyze and revise existing system logic and documentation as necessary.
- Work competently on most phases of applications systems analysis activities while seeking guidance in other areas.
- Support the review and analysis of new requests for system services, providing project managers with scope and effort information.
- Ensure thorough documentation of Application Systems.
- Compile reports on outages, trends, and analyses of relevant IT systems information.
- Monitor and report alarms, demonstrating the ability to triage calls and resolve issues.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques used in network troubleshooting and support.
- Utilize Case Tools as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's Degree with 7 years of experience or Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience.
- Required Skills:
- Ability to perform a variety of analytical tasks related to design and implementation, including personnel, hardware, software, and support facilities to provide mission support.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and providing technical support and solutions to users.
- Guide users in formulating requirements and advise on alternative approaches.
- Effective communication skills with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
- Clearance Level: TS/SCI.
- Required Certifications:
- DoD M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification is required prior to contract support.
- IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent.
- Additional Requirements:
- Candidates must be willing to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions.
- Position may require physical activities such as lifting IT hardware and reaching/bending for cable connections.
- Travel may be necessary to support mission objectives.
