Overview

CTC Group is in search of a Systems Engineer to evaluate current functionalities and innovate new solutions that will seamlessly integrate with various products within the organization and across the agency framework. Operating in a dynamic and agile setting, systems engineers will document how functionalities operate, identify the use cases they fulfill, conduct testing and validation, and produce necessary artifacts to ensure successful software development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Software developers will engage within an established CI/CD pipeline, executing back-end, UI, and/or full-stack development to build capabilities that handle geolocation data processing at scale.
  • Collaborate with a high-performing software development team in an agile, DevOps environment to:
    • Assess functionalities of existing products to outline epics, requirements, derived requirements, and use cases
    • Create artifacts in line with recognized agile software development/systems engineering practices, including but not limited to requirements, use cases, test cases, dependencies, and Interface Control Documents
    • Validate current capabilities and identify future needs essential for operational mission execution
    • Determine how functionalities can be integrated across new baselines
    • Design and implement solutions that address how functional needs are incorporated within the product suite
Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
    • Five (5) years of additional systems engineering experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of fourteen (14) years of relevant experience is required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a high-performing, fast-paced, agile environment
  • Proficient in establishing relationships and effectively collaborating with software developers and subject matter experts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in capturing system requirements and breaking them down into derived requirements, use cases, and test cases
  • Experience in iteratively producing software development and systems engineering artifacts such as use cases, test plans, test results, ICD, CONOPs, etc.
  • Experience in Linux environments
  • Experience in validating capabilities against requirements
  • Experience using the Atlassian tool suite to track and maintain requirements (i.e., JIRA & Confluence)
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in documenting high-level workflows for data as it traverses complex systems
