Senior Account Manager

Verst Logistics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Account Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of high-level accounts and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of high-level accounts, including setting up initial accounts, maintaining excellent working relationships, and researching and responding to customer inquiries and issues.
- Process and accurately input customer orders into our computer system, generate related paperwork, and ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Initiate purchasing activities to support account activities, including forecasting demand, sending forecasts to suppliers, and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
- Plan and distribute account production plans internally and externally, based on available raw material, open customer POs, and forecasted demands.
- Participate in customer meetings and calls, coordinate with internal support teams, and present contract review information to the team.
- Invoice customers at their specific intervals, review and maintain financial workbenches, and issue credits when necessary.
- Communicate customer dissatisfaction to management and make recommendations for resolution.
- Maintain all related account paperwork and assigned customer files, and back up Account Representatives' accounts.
- Support the day-to-day functions of the front office, including telephone coverage and office supplies management.
- High School diploma or GED required; preference given to a college degree in a related field (Logistics, Business Management, etc).
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing or material planning office environment, or an appropriate college degree.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
- Able to type at least 30wpm and have solid experience working with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work well under pressure and display professionalism and tact in all business dealings.
