We are seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to join our dynamic Finance division, supporting a newly formed team within the department. This position will be accountable for conducting comprehensive analyses, evaluating financial performance, and establishing a solid framework to convey our growth to stakeholders.
About the Finance Team
Our Finance team leverages their meticulous attention to detail and expertise to elevate our operations. As we progress rapidly, they ensure we stay aligned with our collective objectives.
Your Responsibilities
Lead and cultivate a team within the Corporate Accounting division, including the approval of journal entries, review of account reconciliations, and offering guidance to your team. This role presents a unique opportunity to build your team, encompassing hiring, process development, and contributing to ERP configuration. Additionally, you will participate in project teams to facilitate the rollout of new processes and the transition from previous owners to Worldpay.
- Assist in establishing a new Corporate Accounting team.
- Engage in Oracle design sessions, documenting and disseminating key actions.
- Develop, lead, manage, and inspire staff to achieve controllership and corporate objectives.
- Approve journal entries and reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial statements.
- Provide leadership and support to staff, collaborating with the People Office on any arising issues.
- Mentor employees on goal development and achievement.
- Design operational procedures that comply with audit standards and enhance efficiency.
- Oversee the close process for corporate functions, identifying opportunities for process improvements.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring effective controls are in place.
- Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies.
- Participate in annual audits and special projects.
- Analyze financial statements, providing clear explanations for variances.
- Investigate period-over-period variances in expenses, offering logical explanations for fluctuations.
- Assist internal clients with information required for tax filings and insurance documentation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
As a manager in the Corporate Accounting division, you will have the distinct opportunity to help establish a new accounting team. You will also engage in Oracle design and implementation, defining processes. This role allows you to be part of a significant company initiative while leading the team you help create. Collaboration with a diverse team is essential. You will be responsible for approving journal entries, account reconciliations, and various financial analyses.
- 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in leading an accounting team, managing the close cycle, and reviewing complex journal entries.
- Proficient in ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
- Skilled in analytical and statistical research, providing insights on monthly analytic reports.
- Experience with internal and external audits.
- CPA designation preferred.
