We are seeking a highly skilled Freight Forwarding Operations Lead to join our team at AIT Worldwide Logistics. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for establishing and executing company strategy related to domestic and international freight movements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the station's operations strategy to enhance the customer experience and maximize station performance.
  • Ensure processes and metrics are in place to ensure growth, service, and profitability goals are accomplished.
  • Manage and communicate with AIT's carriers to ensure best value and service.
  • Exhibit strong negotiating skills and execution in service provider agreements.
  • Ability to track performance and develop strategic processes to improve efficiencies and reduce lead time lanes.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to employees in a broad global environment.
  • Actively support key account operations requirements and ensure service execution and reliability.
  • Continue to build rapport with clients and work to develop new opportunities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of international freight forwarding experience, preferably with P&L experience.
  • 1-3 years of operations supervisory experience and managing a team.
  • Previous experience in a diversified freight forwarding industry.
  • Procurement skills and operational management of global products and services.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
