About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SBA Business Development Officer to join our team at DFCU Financial. As a key member of our Commercial Lending team, you will be responsible for developing and structuring loans, as well as marketing other credit union products and services to small and medium-sized businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect and network in local markets to identify and develop new SBA client relationships for DFCU Financial.
- Maintain and build a network of prospects by working with internal and external centers of influence, commercial referral sources, and the Business Banking team to develop new SBA business relationships.
- Identify, market, and sell SBA loan products.
- Generate and close a minimum of $10 million in SBA 7(a) loans each calendar year.
- Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers in accordance with DFCU Financial values of collaboration and professionalism.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience as an SBA Business Development Officer.
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated sales ability; influences with impact.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication.
