About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled SBA Business Development Officer to join our team at DFCU Financial. As a key member of our commercial lending team, you will be responsible for developing and structuring loans, as well as marketing other credit union products and services to small and medium-sized businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and network in local markets to identify and develop new SBA client relationships for DFCU Financial.
  • Maintain and build a network of prospects by working with internal and external centers of influence, commercial referral sources, and the Business Banking team to develop new SBA business relationships.
  • Identify, market, and sell SBA loan products.
  • Generate and close a minimum of $10 million in SBA 7(a) loans each calendar year.
  • Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers in accordance with DFCU Financial values of collaboration and professionalism.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as an SBA Business Development Officer.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated sales ability; influences with impact.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication.
