About the Role

Grainger Businesses is seeking a highly skilled Senior Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will provide administrative support to our building, directly reporting to the Regional Human Resource Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate and timely reports, identify discrepancies, troubleshoot, and make necessary corrections as needed.
  • Assist the HR Generalist and Regional HR Manager with staffing, temp staffing onboarding, and new hire orientation.
  • Create, maintain, and revise general and confidential departmental files and records.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal leadership, internal team members, and external vendors via regular time spent on the warehouse floor.
  • Responsible for scheduling and logistics of all team member events and activities.
  • Demonstrate a high level of confidentiality with team member information.
  • Communicate problems and issues through various means, including email, documentation, and open dialogue.
  • Prepare materials needed for meetings.
  • Locate and gather information from the appropriate source to assist in resolving business issues.
  • Assist in the administration of a robust communications plan, including the coordination of the DC newsletter, bulletin board updates, and team member events.
  • Monitor completion of all required team member training to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain office supplies and place orders as needed.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in business, administration, human resources, logistics, or a related field of study preferred or equivalent experience with 1-3 years in administration.
  • Knowledge of similar policies and procedures to answer questions and oversee day-to-day activities.
  • Expert level MS Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access). SAP experience is not required but welcomed.
  • Articulate communication to a diverse audience in a clear and concise manner both verbally and written.
  • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and the ability to proofread documents for correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Professionally represent the organization at all times.
  • Demonstrate empathy and compassion when faced with team member issues.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
