Penn Foster Inc is on the lookout for a talented and seasoned Head of Event Sales.

As the Head of Event Sales, your primary responsibility will be to spearhead our event sales initiatives.

Your main objective will be to engage high-profile clients and effectively secure agreements for a diverse array of events, including corporate gatherings, weddings, gala celebrations, and other special occasions.

Your leadership skills, outstanding sales expertise, and capacity to cultivate strong relationships will be vital in enhancing our event sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Sales Strategy: Formulate and execute robust event sales strategies aimed at achieving revenue goals and expanding market presence in the events sector.
  • Market Analysis: Assess market dynamics, competitor strategies, and client feedback to pinpoint growth opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Partner with culinary and beverage teams to design appealing and competitive event menus tailored to client preferences.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with current clients, ensuring their expectations are consistently surpassed.
  • New Client Acquisition: Identify and connect with potential clients, including high-profile individuals and corporations, to broaden our clientele.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and inspire the event sales team to meet both individual and collective sales objectives.
  • Customized Event Solutions: Work closely with clients to understand their unique event needs, crafting personalized event packages.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms and agreements with clients to secure profitable contracts.
  • Budget Oversight: Develop and manage the event sales budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation for maximum return on investment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in event sales, ideally within the luxury sector.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with experience in guiding sales teams.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in sales and CRM software for tracking leads and managing sales pipelines.
