Position Overview

The Partnership Engagement Manager plays a crucial role within the Community Partnerships & Advocacy Department, acting as a vital link between KIPP DC and external partners. This position is focused on enhancing partner engagement experiences for our schools, departments, and families. Working closely with the Director of Community Partnerships, the Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to scale partner services throughout KIPP DC.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Oversee the KIPP DC Community Partner Services Database, ensuring accurate records of partner interactions and engagement metrics.
  • Coordinate and manage events that connect partners with schools, such as health initiatives, educational fairs, and community outreach programs.
  • Lead seasonal resource initiatives aimed at supporting families and students throughout the academic year.
  • Manage the Family Support Fund, ensuring resources are available for families in need.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team to maintain the KIPP DC Community Partnerships website and share impactful stories.
  • Engage in advocacy efforts by participating in networking events and staying informed on relevant legislative developments.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work with the Director of Community Partnerships to create diverse engagement opportunities for community partners.
  • Research and identify new partnership opportunities that align with school needs and support student success.
  • Maintain relationships with existing partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Cross-Department Collaboration:

  • Partner with internal teams to elevate KIPP DC's visibility and impact through strategic alignment and resource sharing.
  • Conduct assessments of partner relationships to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Measurable Outcomes:

  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of partnerships and their impact on student outcomes.
  • Identify trends that contribute to student retention and engagement through innovative partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in a non-profit or educational setting.
  • Experience in partnership development preferred.
