Role Summary:


The Visualization and Data Solutions (VDS) division within Electron Microscopy specializes in software applications tailored for microscopy image processing and analysis. These tools empower clients to uncover significant insights that propel groundbreaking discoveries, enhance operational efficiency, and ultimately contribute to transformative global advancements.

The VDS sector is dedicated to the design, production, and support of an extensive array of high-performance microscopy software applications and workflows, delivering critical images and insights at micro-, nano-, and picometer scales.


By merging hardware and software expertise in electron, ion, and light microscopy with profound application knowledge across materials science, life sciences, electronics, and natural resources, our global team is committed to aiding customers in their quest for discovery and solutions to pressing global challenges.


Key Responsibilities:


The Senior Sales Executive will oversee sales and account management for designated regions, formulating and executing sales strategies, providing leadership to team members, and ensuring the attainment of sales targets, revenue goals, and overall business objectives.

• Manage all sales and account management duties for assigned products within the territory.

• Develop, align, and implement strategic account plans for Industrial, Academic, and Government sectors.

• Maintain precise weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecasts.

• Assess budgetary considerations for each client and take strategic measures accordingly.

• Ensure all system configurations, specifications, and acceptance criteria are suitable for order finalization.

• Collaborate with application engineers and product marketing managers to coordinate system demonstrations.

• Confirm that all documentation is duly approved throughout the sales booking process.

• Sustain a robust pipeline of opportunities to meet or surpass sales objectives.

Qualifications:

Education:
A university degree in Material Science, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.

Experience:
5-10 years of demonstrated success in scientific software sales or a related field is preferred.

• Strong negotiation skills for effective customer engagement and resolution of sales-related issues.

• Exceptional communication abilities to effectively engage a diverse audience.

• Systematic problem-solving capabilities through collaboration with clients and the account team.

• Proficient presentation skills, including the creation of materials for both internal and external audiences.

• Ability to work collaboratively with other sales and account management teams.

• Willingness to travel to client locations as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Miller-Heiman strategic and conceptual selling methodologies is highly desirable.

Ability to gain access to US Government laboratories and facilities.
