Key Responsibilities
  • Contributes to the formulation and execution of claims policies and strategies to ensure timely and fair claims processing and resolution.
  • Offers administrative oversight for various claims types within the Agribusiness sector, including Auto Property Damage, Liability, General Liability, and First Party Property.
    • Recruits, trains, and assesses team members.
    • Establishes performance goals and standards tailored to Agribusiness, considering unique claim-handling processes.
    • Sanctions authorized adjusters and maintains oversight of adjuster activities.
    • Approves legal representatives and their compensation structures.
    • Regularly reports to senior management on significant losses, catastrophic events, and claims trends.
  • Engages in both short-term and long-term planning to enhance operational efficiency and service quality for clients and policyholders.
  • Assists team leaders in evaluating and settling claims within designated authority limits.
  • Supports team leaders in determining case reserves for ongoing claims within established authority.
  • Addresses complaints from the Department of Insurance.
  • Provides necessary updates to the corporate catastrophe response team.
  • Contributes insights for business unit meetings and presentations as required.
  • Acts as a liaison with IT for claim-related reporting and system improvements.
  • Coordinates the onboarding process for new claims personnel with HR, Security, and IT departments.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in a claims environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional communication skills
