Overview

CHENEGA TRI SERVICES, LLC

The Appointment Scheduling Specialist will be tasked with the organization and management of provider schedules at various Military Entrance Processing Stations. This role does not entail direct patient interaction or appointment management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Confirm provider availability for assignments at designated locations.
  • Facilitate travel arrangements for Fee Basis Providers as directed by the Program Manager or MEPS Assistant Project Manager.
  • Support the onboarding process for new providers regarding the scheduling system.
  • Ensure timely and precise scheduling of physicians and clinical staff for short-term assignments.
  • Engage in communication with healthcare providers through various channels.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • At least two (2) years of scheduling experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of general office experience is necessary.
  • One (1) year of customer service experience is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient in Internet software and all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-volume call environment.
  • Effective communication skills with healthcare providers, management, and subcontractors.
  • Capability to work independently and make swift decisions, along with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Eligibility to obtain a NACI/CAC Common Access Card.
  • Experience in a call center setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with working under multiple supervisors and departments is advantageous.

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit and communicate effectively. The role may involve repetitive motions with the arms, wrists, hands, and fingers. Occasional walking, standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be necessary. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision.
