We are currently seeking a Full-Time Bilingual Medical Appointment Coordinator to join our team. This role involves managing patient check-outs and understanding their needs to effectively organize and schedule medical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with all relevant parties regarding patient care and scheduled procedures.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is collected and verified.
  • Confirm that all authorizations are secured prior to scheduling.
  • Manage scheduling and rescheduling of patient follow-ups and procedures.
  • Coordinate transportation for patients requiring assistance.
  • Provide patients with essential information and instructions ahead of their procedure dates.
  • Follow up on patients who cancel or do not show up for appointments.
  • Facilitate patient check-out processes.
  • Transmit prescriptions to pharmacies via fax or email.
  • Assist in managing patient flow during appointments.
  • Respond to phone inquiries professionally.
  • Update patient information in the database accurately.
  • Travel between various locations as required.
  • Be flexible with scheduling to accommodate organizational needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with administrative and clerical processes, including word processing and record management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and eCW.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and thoroughness in task completion.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and telephone etiquette.
  • Professional communication skills with patients.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma; some college education preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a medical office scheduling environment.
