Position Summary

Travel Insured International, a leading provider of travel insurance for over 25 years, is a vital segment of our Specialty Business Unit within the Accident & Health division. We deliver travel protection plans that empower individuals to travel with confidence. We are seeking an IT Product Manager to join our IT Team.

In this pivotal role, you will engage in innovative projects that influence our customers, agents, and employees. Collaborating with various professionals, you will define, deliver, and oversee initiatives that align with our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Play a crucial role in shaping the company's strategic direction by identifying and articulating new opportunities while managing existing applications in collaboration with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Support business operations by working closely with IT Development and QA teams to gather, comprehend, and document business requirements, recommending optimal solutions for software development.
  • Develop and manage the system and product roadmap, prioritize product opportunities, and refine existing features to achieve business objectives.
  • Act as the voice of the end user, clearly communicating problems to be solved or opportunities to be seized, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
  • Define business and functional requirements for enhancements and projects to implement IT solutions focused on critical business priorities.
  • Effectively communicate functional business requirements to IT stakeholders and convey technical solutions to business stakeholders in accessible language.
  • Understand the plans for defining, delivering, and supporting IT system components within the organizational architecture.
  • Create and maintain automation scripts and testing suites.
  • Assist in defining system scope and objectives based on user needs and a foundational understanding of business systems and industry requirements.
  • Identify suitable technology alternatives for business challenges with guidance from IT resources and Subject Matter Experts.
  • Coordinate user testing activities by collaborating with IT teams, business partners, and third-party suppliers.
  • Focus on outcomes rather than outputs, employing design thinking methods and analytics throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Support project and release managers by providing input on project scope, evaluation criteria, and results.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical or business management field or equivalent experience is required.
  • At least 6 years of experience in application or product management, business development, software lifecycle, or a related role is essential.
  • Proficiency in Python is required.
  • Experience with Salesforce is highly preferred.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to lead discussions with internal and external teams are essential.
  • Demonstrated technical skills, creativity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Team-oriented with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • A self-starter with a robust work ethic, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Customer-focused, driving solutions that meet customer expectations with quality and timeliness.
  • Ability to analyze data thoughtfully and solve problems collaboratively.
