Job Description

The Paper Store is committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences and achieving sales goals in a fast-paced retail environment. As a Seasonal Early Morning Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in maintaining merchandising standards, providing world-class service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Utilize the G.U.E.S.T. service approach to greet and welcome every customer warmly and with enthusiasm, understand their needs, explain product features and benefits, and suggest additional items to build onto sales.
  • Brand Ambassador: Act as a TPS Brand Ambassador by being a friendly, attentive, and respectful representative of the company.
  • Inventory Management: Prepare incoming product for the sales floor, merchandise product following company visual guidelines and visual standards, and maintain store maintenance and cleanliness standards.
  • Stockroom and Storage: Organize and maintain stockroom and storage areas to meet company standards and maintain the integrity of the store inventory through proper receiving practices.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Contribute to a positive work environment with respectful, ethical behavior and honest communication, demonstrating professionalism at all times.
  • Sales and Promotions: Support all sales efforts and initiatives across all business channels in an effort to maximize company sales, maintain awareness of all current promotions, and process them correctly at the Point of Sale.
  • Training and Development: Enthusiastically participate in training and development as required, utilizing all training resources.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform ear piercings and provide a safe, sanitary experience in accordance with state, federal, and CDC guidelines (select locations), demonstrate a fundamental knowledge of computers, systems, and programs relevant to the position, and complete all other tasks as directed by store management within the assigned timeframe.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in specialty retail is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to multitask while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business.
  • Possess an ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office and POS Systems.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Professional conduct, demeanor, and attire in compliance with company dress code.
  • Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items up to 50 lbs., while utilizing appropriate safety techniques.
