Location: Based out of Glastonbury, CT

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure optimal operational performance for the repair station.
  • Support the Site Manager in developing budget plans in collaboration with Sales & Marketing and Financial departments.
  • Regularly assess capacity requirements and formulate staffing and capital investment strategies to align with projected demand.
  • Track operational and financial performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, including health & safety records, variance reports, productivity, efficiency, quality, working capital, gross profit, revenue per employee, and cost reduction.
  • Analyze monthly variances and devise corrective action plans as necessary.
  • Review daily production schedules and coordinate assignments with production personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with the sales plan.
  • Evaluate monthly product costs and address negative variance trends.
  • Engage with customers to support marketing initiatives and participate in presentations.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers regarding order and quote status.
  • Uphold a clean and safe working environment, adhering to Health & Safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Conduct periodic assessments of staff performance, providing feedback to managers and recommending adjustments as needed.
  • Facilitate training and development of personnel in collaboration with centralized functional departments such as HR, IT, Quality, CI, and Engineering.
  • Encourage a collaborative business environment through team projects and continuous improvement activities.
  • Conduct annual performance appraisals for direct reports, establishing measurable personal goals and objectives.
  • Communicate business updates to employees through meetings and bulletins.
  • Participate in corporate management and leadership development programs, as well as regular reviews.
  • Perform various other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Engage in required training sessions.
  • Domestic travel of 5-10% may be necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Person as defined by US Government and able to work without restriction with ITAR related data.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in Aerospace Manufacturing.
  • 5+ years of operational management experience, with a strong background in labor and employee relations preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead a diverse staff with varying backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Demonstrated capability to drive change, foster innovation, and significantly increase revenues.
  • Technical knowledge related to aircraft engine components.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as turning, milling, grinding, assembly, deburring, and special processes including ECI, FPI, MPI, and Borescope inspection.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with MRP systems, preferably Syteline.
  • Exhibited flexibility and success in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
