Position Overview:
The Electrical Assembly Technician is integral to the manufacturing of electrical wire harnesses and their installation, undertaking tasks that vary in complexity.

This role necessitates a combination of semi-skilled labor and technical expertise to guarantee the correct assembly and operational efficiency of units.


Key Responsibilities:

Assembly Procedures:
Identify methods and sequences for assembly operations based on electrical schematics, production orders, or process guidelines to fulfill manufacturing objectives.

Electrical Wiring and Components:
Engage with diverse electrical components and wiring to construct wiring harnesses and execute Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP).

Tool Application:
Employ aviation electrical tools, including crimping tools, Digital Multimeters (DMM), and wire strippers. Utilize hand tools such as wrenches, torque wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers for mechanical assembly tasks.

Precision Measurement:
Utilize precision measurement instruments, including scales, digital and dial calipers, and micrometers, to ensure assembly accuracy.

Unit Modification:
Disassemble, modify, refurbish, reassemble, and test units as necessary to comply with specifications and quality standards.

Production Orders:
Interpret and understand production orders to ensure adherence to correct assembly procedures and project specifications.

Working Hours:
Monday-Friday, 1st shift - 5:00am-1:30pm

Essential Qualifications:
Must possess authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Typically requires a high school diploma with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a high school diploma or GED, 4 years of relevant experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
Capability to lift at least 50 lbs periodically.

Strong fine motor skills and the ability to handle small components are essential. Experience in the aerospace sector is preferred. Familiarity with BAC process specifications for electrical assemblies and installation is advantageous. Knowledge of the D SWPM (standard wire practices manual) is beneficial. Certification in IPC/WHMA-A-620 Wire harness and assembly is a plus.
