Job Overview:

The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Electrical Wire Assembly Technician to contribute to our operations in Everett, WA. In this role, you will be integral to the manufacturing process, focusing on cutting and trimming electrical wires, constructing wire bundles essential for connecting electrical systems, and assembling shelf and panel units.

These wire bundles and assemblies serve as critical components that are subsequently utilized in various major sub-assembly sectors, including System and Installations (S&I), Final Body Join (FBJ), and Final Assembly (FA).


Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify that kitted materials are accurately issued.
  • Ensure parts are correct and free from visible defects.
  • Assemble materials, parts, and tools as required.
  • Set up jobs according to work instructions.
  • Operate Numerical Control (N/C) wire cutting machines to cut and code wire.
  • Fabricate wire bundles through cutting, coding, counting, sleeving, and splicing.
  • Install connectors, lugs, solder sleeves, ferrules, and contacts.
  • Crimp and terminate using hand or machine tools; secure with lock stitch or conduit straps.
  • Install accessories such as relays, circuit breakers, and switches using hand tools and soldering equipment.
  • Conduct continuity checks on electrical assemblies as needed.
  • Handle hazardous materials in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

This position requires a commitment to working onsite, and candidates must be prepared to fulfill all responsibilities in a collaborative environment.


Basic Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience with tools and/or hand-held power tools.
  • 1+ years of experience in electrical assembly installation.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Flexibility to support additional locations if necessary.

Education:
High school diploma or GED required.

Additional Information:
This position is governed by the IAM 751 Collective Bargaining agreement. Candidates must reside in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense, as relocation assistance is not available for this role.
