Job Description Overview:

The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Electrical Wire Assembly Technician to contribute to our operations. In this role, you will be instrumental in the manufacturing process by cutting and trimming electrical wires, creating wire bundles that connect electrical systems, and assembling various units.

These wire bundles and assemblies are critical components that will be utilized in several major sub-assembly areas, including System and Installations (S&I), Final Body Join (FBJ), and Final Assembly (FA).


Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify that pre-picked materials are issued correctly.
  • Ensure parts are accurate and free from visible defects.
  • Assemble materials, parts, and tools as necessary.
  • Set up jobs according to work instructions.
  • Operate Numerical Control (N/C) wire cutting machines to cut and code wire.
  • Fabricate wire bundles by cutting, coding, counting, sleeving, and splicing.
  • Install connectors, lugs, solder sleeves, ferrules, and contacts.
  • Crimp and terminate using hand or machine tools.
  • Install accessories such as relays, circuit breakers, and switches using hand tools.
  • Check the continuity of electrical assemblies as required.
  • Handle hazardous materials in an approved manner.

It is essential to check your work upon completion of each task and ensure collaboration with team members, emphasizing safety and effective communication skills. Familiarity with basic math operations and blueprint reading is required.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work at the designated location.


Basic Qualifications:
  • 1+ year of experience using tools and/or hand-held power tools.
  • 1+ year of experience in electrical assembly installation.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Flexibility to support other locations if necessary.

Typical Education:
High school diploma or GED

Shift:
This position is for 2nd shift.
