Position: Electrical Components Technician

Location: Aviation Technical Services

Job Summary: The Electrical Components Technician plays a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of electrical systems for commercial aircraft. This position requires expertise in diagnosing issues and executing repairs on electrical components, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize specialized tools and precision equipment for electrical system maintenance.
  • Interpret and analyze electrical wiring diagrams.
  • Perform soldering on various electronic components.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and repairs on electromechanical systems, including the assembly of wire bundles and installation of connectors.
  • Repair and maintain linear, rotary, and pneumatic actuation systems.
  • Install and inspect seals, bearings, and other mechanical components.
  • Ensure all completed work meets OEM specifications through thorough inspection.
  • Carry out additional tasks as required by management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with maintenance teams.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding technical documents.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with minimal supervision.
  • Capability to mentor and guide junior staff.
  • Team-oriented mindset with conflict resolution skills.
  • Basic to intermediate mathematical skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of major electrical components and systems.
  • Familiarity with inspection methods and tools used in electrical maintenance.
  • General computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office.

Education and Experience:

  • At least two years of experience in commercial or military aircraft maintenance.
  • Preferred: Airframe or Airframe and Powerplant License.

Physical Requirements:

The role involves physical activity, including sitting, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Candidates should be prepared for a variety of physical tasks in a dynamic work environment.
