Job Overview:
The Boeing Company is actively seeking an Electrical Wire Assembly Technician to contribute to our operations in Everett, WA. In this role, you will be integral to the manufacturing process, focusing on cutting and trimming electrical wires, constructing wire bundles essential for connecting electrical systems, and assembling various shelf and panel units.
These wire bundles and assemblies are critical components utilized in several major sub-assembly areas, including System and Installations (S&I), Final Body Join (FBJ), and Final Assembly (FA).
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify that kitted materials are accurately issued.
- Ensure all parts are correct and free from visible defects.
- Assemble materials, parts, and tools as necessary.
- Set up jobs according to work instructions.
- Operate Numerical Control (N/C) wire cutting machines to cut and code wire.
- Fabricate wire bundles through cutting, coding, counting, and splicing.
- Install connectors, lugs, and other components as required.
- Check continuity of electrical assemblies using appropriate testing equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols while handling hazardous materials.
Collaboration is key; you will work closely with your team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely. Strong interpersonal and listening skills are essential for success in this role.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with tools and hand-held power tools.
- 1 year of experience in electrical assembly installation.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Willingness to support operations at alternate locations if needed.
Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Additional Information:
