Position Overview:
The Regional Sales Executive (RSE) is responsible for overseeing a designated sales area, directing sales initiatives, representative actions, competitive strategies, and customer engagement within that territory. The RSE formulates plans aimed at achieving or surpassing established sales targets. Regularly communicates and monitors activities within the region to relevant personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage sales forecasts, budgets, and expenditures.
- Achieve or exceed sales targets for the assigned geographical area.
- Utilize effective time management and planning skills in relation to customer interactions.
- Provide timely and precise reports on customer and competitive activities.
- Identify market opportunities and actively pursue them to convert into new sales.
- Formulate strategies to enhance existing products.
- Build relationships with key decision-makers at customer locations.
- Collaborate closely with marketing to understand customer needs and define product/service offerings.
- Mobilize necessary resources to maximize chances of successful new business qualification trials.
- Implement pricing strategies and negotiations as directed by national sales leadership.
- Uphold and represent company values, products, services, and capabilities with professionalism.
- Adhere to pricing policies to ensure optimal margins.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of customers, contacts, and their status in the sales process.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Comply with corporate safety policies.
- Follow guidelines in the Company Vehicle Use Policy.
- Prepare reports, business correspondence, and sales presentations for executive staff.
- Assist in other areas or perform additional duties as business needs fluctuate.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred, along with five or more years of sales experience; candidates without a degree should have over ten years of experience in the medical, electronics, or defense sectors with a focus on applications development. A valid driver's license is required, and a valid U.S. passport may be necessary for international travel.
