Education Sales Specialist

Job Summary:

As a Sales Specialist at Acxion Foodservice, you will be responsible for managing and growing your territory while maintaining a positive business relationship with Large Leverage Operators (LLOs), clients, and distributors. Your primary goal will be to achieve sales through targeted objective planning, combining client strategic goals with LLO needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Call on and present focus lines to LLOs in your market.
Drive company sales through focused marketing and presentation of clients' products to maximize commissions.
Enter all activity and sales into CRM.
Maintain accurate account information for LLOs, including bid, award, commodity, and profile information.
Work in tandem with bid and commodity support staff to identify opportunities for new sales while achieving commodity drawdown goals.
Utilize time efficiently for administrative duties, planning of calls, and preparation of presentations.
Support local market team when requested by the Market Director for sales activities outside of K12 responsibilities.

Requirements:

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently with little supervision, prioritize/plan your schedule, and multitask.
Good decision and negotiating skills, effective time-management skills, and a high level of professionalism.
Knowledge of brokerage business, relationship to clients, and good business sense.
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Training required: Product and sales training, encompassing USDA commodity process, nutritional guidelines, cafeteria operations, and food safety procedures.

Working Conditions:

Highly concentrated mental and visual alertness.
Major portion of the day spent talking either in-person or by telephone dealing with customer service issues.
Able to drive vehicle for long periods of time to and from accounts, with some overnight stays required.
Must be able to lift 30 lbs and wear proper business attire and close-toed shoes for calls made onsite in school kitchens.
Frequent up/down motion to perform duties, moderate typing, calculating, or otherwise working with fingers, visual acuity, and ability to hear and receive detailed information.
Must maintain current and valid driver's license and auto insurance in company-specified limits.
Calculator, personal computer, telephone, fax, and copier are required, along with some form of reliable transportation to get to and from accounts.
