Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly proficient and experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team, focusing on delivering exceptional service for our clients in the insurance sector. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in full-stack technologies and a comprehensive understanding of enterprise-level infrastructure, including network and middleware systems. This role demands a proactive individual who can effectively manage incidents and ensure high levels of system reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Incident Management: Spearhead and oversee urgent incident responses with efficiency and urgency. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve intricate system challenges across diverse technology stacks.
  • Full-Stack Proficiency: Apply extensive knowledge of both front-end and back-end technologies to swiftly identify and rectify system issues. Implement solutions that address all layers of the application and infrastructure.
  • Enterprise Systems Acumen: Utilize a deep understanding of enterprise-level network and middleware technologies to uncover root causes of incidents and propose sustainable solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion initiatives for continuous improvement by analyzing incident patterns, pinpointing recurring challenges, and implementing proactive strategies to boost system reliability and performance.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with development, operations, and other IT teams to ensure effective incident management. Lead post-incident reviews and disseminate insights across the organization.
  • Automation and Tool Development: Create and deploy automation tools and scripts to enhance diagnostic processes, incident response, and resolution workflows. Provide input on advanced monitoring and alerting systems to identify issues proactively.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of incidents, resolutions, and system modifications to promote knowledge sharing and adherence to IT governance standards.
  • Training and Mentorship: Offer training and support to junior SRE team members and associated teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a related field with a focus on incident management.
  • In-depth knowledge of full-stack technologies and database systems (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Expertise in enterprise network architectures, protocols, middleware technologies, and API management processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues across various technology stacks.
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Shell, Python).
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the capacity to lead cross-functional teams during high-pressure situations.
  • Relevant certifications in technologies and methodologies (e.g., ITIL, AWS, Networking) are advantageous.
