Position Overview

The Campaign Operations Lead plays a pivotal role within the Marketing Operations & Technology division at Dropbox. This position involves overseeing the team and external partners tasked with executing marketing initiatives through our automation platforms, specifically focusing on email campaigns.

In this capacity, you will engage with various marketing teams to actualize their strategies, emphasizing the importance of email marketing. Your responsibilities will include developing and managing efficient processes to ensure seamless campaign execution, from initial requirements gathering to deployment, quality assurance, monitoring, and performance reporting.

We seek an individual with a strong background in email marketing, strategic business insight, and exceptional project management abilities. The ideal candidate will adeptly handle multiple projects and competing priorities, foster collaborative relationships across marketing functions, and advocate for best practices in email campaign management.

Key Responsibilities

Direct the Campaign Operations team to facilitate the execution of marketing initiatives, with a strong emphasis on email programs utilizing Iterable and Marketo. Develop and document scalable workflows to enhance campaign operations, covering campaign setup, execution, quality assurance, and post-campaign analysis. Mentor and guide team members in campaign operations, sharing expertise on email marketing best practices. Ensure adherence to data privacy laws, including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL, and other relevant regulations. Oversee relationships and budgets with third-party service providers, ensuring effective collaboration between agencies and the marketing team. Monitor, evaluate, and report on the performance of marketing campaigns to drive improvements in conversion rates and overall effectiveness. Collaborate with Lifecycle Marketing, Field and Channel Marketing, and other marketing divisions to align campaign efforts with organizational goals. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

Qualifications

A minimum of 5 years of experience in Marketing Operations, including at least 2 years in a leadership role within Campaign Operations or Marketing Operations. Hands-on experience in creating email campaigns using marketing automation tools such as Marketo and Iterable. Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Jira) and resource allocation. Proven ability to make data-informed decisions to enhance campaign performance and conversion rates. Highly organized, capable of prioritizing tasks effectively and managing time efficiently. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Attention to detail and a commitment to fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related discipline. Practical experience with Iterable and/or Marketo. A solid understanding of database structures, analytics, and campaign attribution.
