This position as a Business Analyst within the IT Supply Chain Systems team will leverage robust analytical capabilities to support our internal stakeholders in ongoing enhancement and innovation initiatives aimed at addressing system and technology challenges. The role involves providing solutions to meet the growing demand for data automation, reporting, and data visualization across essential systems. The individual will serve as a bridge between the IT department and various business units, working to gather and define solution requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

The role necessitates the establishment and maintenance of relationships with business stakeholders, a comprehensive understanding of business operations, the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business partners and IT Supply Chain Systems colleagues to identify opportunities for enhancing automation, reporting, data visualization, and business processes.
  • Document business workflows by evaluating the current operational model and its technological integration. Analyze and assess existing business processes to pinpoint areas for improvement. Develop requirements documentation, visual models, business process models, functional specifications, data models, use cases, process flows, and more.
  • Work alongside business teams and IT Supply Chain Systems peers to assess feasibility and validate functional and reporting requirements.
  • Implement project management standards and methodologies; prepare work estimates and timelines for delivery.
  • Design test cases to cover business processes and system functionalities; execute tests and analyze defects for resolution.
  • Partner with business stakeholders on deployment activities, including training, change management, and communication strategies. Support stabilization efforts, including documenting issues.
  • Manage personal workload to ensure adherence to project timelines; take accountability for deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Research & Development, Manufacturing, or Distribution system environments.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Experience in working with business stakeholders to comprehend and document requirements, merging business insights with technical solutions.
  • A strong desire to learn new systems and technologies in a rapidly evolving software landscape.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple diverse initiatives.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and extensive experience in analyzing large datasets across systems.
  • Familiarity with modeling, analytical, and problem-solving techniques, with the ability to apply business knowledge to support decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications (not mandatory):

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Prior experience with data analytics tools like AWS Glue, AWS DataBrew, OCI Data, Integration, Data Flow, Data Catalog, OCI Data Science.
  • Basic knowledge of Python programming.
  • Familiarity with process automation software such as UI Path RPA, Document Understanding, AI.
  • Experience in complex systems environments, including any of the following software categories:
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
  • Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
  • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
  • Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
  • System Integration
  • A foundational understanding of Research & Development, Process Manufacturing, and Distribution business methodologies.
