Position Overview:
As a Customer Service Representative, you will serve as the main point of contact for our esteemed customers and distributors. Your role is crucial in ensuring their satisfaction through prompt, accurate, and courteous assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Communication & Support
- Product Support: Respond to incoming calls and emails from customers and distributors, providing comprehensive information regarding our products, ordering processes, order status, shipment tracking, returns, repairs, and more.
- Customer Advocacy: Address and resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints, focusing on achieving positive outcomes and fostering long-term relationships.
- Order Management: Efficiently handle customer orders, initiate returns, and quotations. Monitor orders, manage stock rotations, and fulfill co-op requests.
- Sales Support: Collaborate with the Sales Department to follow up on quotes, provide product materials, nurture relationships with selling partners, and assist with special projects.
- Technical Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of our products to research specifications, identify cross-reference items, check inventory levels, and provide information on discontinued or unavailable products.
- Information Hub: Share valuable insights with leadership and relevant departmental heads regarding significant quotes, orders, and potential sales leads.
- Input and track account information within the invoicing and accounting system.
- Maintain updated mailing and contact lists for all vendors, customers, and industry contacts.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance customer service processes and contribute to a culture of excellence.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with internal teams, including Sales, Engineering, and Production, to ensure seamless customer service.
Position Requirements:
Required Skills:
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- 1 year of experience in a customer service role, preferably within a manufacturing or technical industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Environment: This role operates in a professional office environment, with some engagement with employees on the manufacturing floor. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets will be routinely used.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. Standing, sitting, walking, bending, and the ability to lift 50 pounds safely are required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a Full-Time position with 40 hours per week expected. Days and hours will be Monday-Thursday: 7-4:30 PM and Friday: 8-12 PM. Attendance at all mandatory meetings and participation in training is required.
Travel: Travel is not required for this position.
