KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the timely and accurate submission of claims to maximize revenue.
- Monitor reimbursement processes to secure optimal payment timelines.
- Oversee collection strategies, patient payment plans, and account aging reports.
- Identify and address trends and variances in billing practices.
- Lead and mentor the billing team to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Conduct audits of credit balances and manage refunds to payers.
- Review system utilization and recommend enhancements for efficiency.
- Assist with the credentialing process for clinical staff with third-party payers.
- Participate in performance evaluations and provide coaching to team members.
- Communicate departmental updates and changes effectively across the organization.
- Maintain positive relationships within the organization and with external partners.
- Adhere to all regulatory compliance standards and organizational policies.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and data-driven decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to utilize technology for financial reporting and analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state billing regulations.
SUPERVISORY ROLE
This position will oversee the billing and credentialing teams, ensuring high performance and accountability.
WORK SCHEDULE
This is a full-time role with flexible hours to be determined in collaboration with management.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Preferred certification as a Medical Biller and relevant educational background.
- Minimum of five years of experience in medical billing and coding.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems is essential.
- Strong analytical skills and a commitment to customer service.
