Job Summary

The Assistant Community Manager is a key member of the community team, responsible for supporting the leadership of community leasing processes and operations. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and have a strong desire to grow and develop their skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Community Manager with oversight of the leasing team and training, ensuring that all team members are equipped to provide exceptional service to residents.
  • Support Leasing Consultants in the leasing of apartments, ensuring that Fair Housing guidelines are followed and that all potential resident applications are thoroughly reviewed.
  • Post rental collections, make bank deposits, and oversee the administration of accounting functions for the community, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Meet regularly with the Community Manager and Regional Manager to discuss community performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to drive growth and success.
  • Conduct a monthly market survey and recommend pricing changes to ensure that the community remains competitive in the market.
  • Maintain and update resident lease files and computer records for the community, including generation of reports and processing of notices to vacate.
  • Field resident concerns and coordinate resolution with the Community Manager or other members of the leadership team, ensuring that all issues are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Community Manager, including data entry, filing, and other tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business administration or hospitality, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a property management role, preferably in a leasing or operations capacity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse personalities and communicate effectively with residents, staff, and vendors.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of urgency and a commitment to delivering results.
  • Strong knowledge of Fair Housing guidelines and regulations, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical and effective manner.
