We are currently in search of a Construction Site Assistant Manager to support our ongoing projects.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a safe working environment on-site, complying with all safety regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee the project plan and timeline, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
  • Manage and coordinate all construction activities, including those of subcontractors.
  • Create site-specific strategies and procedures to be followed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Guarantee that all materials and workmanship adhere to quality standards and design specifications.
  • Gather essential information from engineers, designers, inspectors, and relevant authorities.
  • Communicate potential issues, work disruptions, or scheduling conflicts to senior management, assisting in conflict resolution.
  • Proactively identify and address project challenges and scheduling issues.
  • Contribute to cost estimation and forecasting in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Maintain a daily log of project activities.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Assistant Superintendent capacity.
  • Background in related trades or apprenticeship.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the construction sector and operational processes, including specifications, plans, materials, methods, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead safety initiatives on-site.
  • Experience in managing large teams of subcontractors.
  • Capacity to thrive in a high-performance, fast-paced team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience in evaluating and guiding trade performance on-site.
  • Ability to apply fundamental engineering principles to construction-related challenges.
  • Skilled in visualizing project scope and anticipating constructability challenges, integrating solutions into plans and schedules.
  • Experience in developing and monitoring critical path schedules.
  • Ability to efficiently schedule, monitor, and allocate resources.
  • Knowledge of when to seek professional advice based on experience.
  • Proven track record in managing personnel and overseeing various aspects of construction projects.
