Reporting Structure
This position reports to the District Store Director, Store Manager, and Assistant Managers of Store Operations, Perishables, and Health Wellness Home. It oversees all positions except department heads.
Primary Responsibilities
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere by promoting teamwork and a positive attitude among staff.
- Encourage employees to engage with customers, providing courteous and efficient service.
- Supervise sales floor operations and the technology required for effective customer service.
- Exhibit care and patience in all customer interactions, treating them as the top priority.
- Greet customers warmly and make an effort to remember their names.
- Assist customers by guiding them to products, handling heavy items, and addressing their needs.
- Provide prompt telephone service to customers, ensuring a friendly and helpful interaction.
- Train staff on store policies and operational procedures.
- Address customer issues and ensure consistent service quality throughout the store.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across the store.
- Manage inventory by ordering merchandise and verifying deliveries.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection of new employees.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Handle cash management and register accountability.
