Job Summary

The Assistant Community Manager is a key member of the community leadership team, responsible for supporting the leasing process and operations. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and have a strong understanding of property management principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Community Manager in overseeing the leasing team and providing training and guidance as needed.
  • Support Leasing Consultants in the leasing of apartments, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing guidelines and verifying potential resident applications.
  • Post rental collections, make bank deposits, and oversee the administration of accounting functions for the community.
  • Meet regularly with the Community Manager and Regional Manager to discuss community performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct a monthly market survey and provide pricing recommendations to ensure the community remains competitive.
  • Maintain and update resident lease files and computer records, including generating reports and processing notices to vacate.
  • Field resident concerns and coordinate resolution with the Community Manager or other members of the leadership team.
  • Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Community Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but relevant experience will be considered.
  • 1+ years of experience in a property management role, preferably in leasing and operations.
  • Previous experience in bookkeeping or collections is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to get along with diverse personalities, and a mature, flexible attitude.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Demonstrated support of Bell Partners' Core Values and Business Drivers.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service and clearly communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to understand directives both orally and in writing and present a professional image.
  • Resourceful and well-organized.

Compensation

Hourly: $34.00 - $36.00

Incentive compensation opportunities are available and are performance-based.
