Company Overview
Janicki Industries is a pioneering, family-owned aerospace firm dedicated to engineering and manufacturing intricate projects for clients in the aerospace, defense, and space sectors. We are currently seeking a Project Scheduling Specialist to enhance our dynamic team.

Position Overview
The primary role of the Project Scheduling Specialist involves the planning of programs, project requirements, and scope.

The Specialist collaborates with Project Management and Operations to design, develop, and implement project schedules and budgets utilizing SAP Project Management software.

This role provides essential support to Project Management, Operations Management, and Accounting by executing various tasks, analyzing project schedule performance, conducting critical path assessments, tracking job costs, and evaluating global/project performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain project schedules in SAP using established templates and calculators or based on Statements of Work (SOW), drawings, or proposals. Input Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) details, resource allocation/budgeting, activity durations, and relationships. Identify and monitor the critical path for projects and oversee schedule and budget adherence.
2. Ensure project plans and schedules in SAP are accurate, including adding activities, adjusting budgets, and modifying schedules as necessary.
3. Communicate effectively with Project Managers and Operations Managers regarding scheduling requirements, including disseminating project information, linking work products to activities, and generating necessary documentation.
4. Prepare reports on project cost and schedule performance.
5. Collaborate with Project Managers, Program Management, and clients to provide scheduling support for significant projects.
6. Address daily inquiries regarding schedules and budgets from Program Management and Operations Management; possess a thorough understanding of our business systems and processes.

7. Stay informed about the activities related to each process; must have knowledge of materials and scheduled durations needed for these processes and understand the capabilities of each production cell.

8. Handle invoicing by compiling milestone costs according to contractual obligations.
9. Assist in sales support by gathering information for sales proposals.
10. Participate in estimating by reviewing project requirements during the sales phase and generating cost tables.
11. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Behavioral Expectations:
The ideal candidate must thrive under pressure, successfully managing multiple deadlines while demonstrating cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.

Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this role.

Qualifications:
Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Legal Permanent Residents due to ITAR and EAR regulations.

A Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering/Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field is preferred. Previous experience with scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or SAP is highly valued, with SAP experience being a significant advantage. PMP certification and prior ERP experience are also preferred.

Equivalent work experience in manufacturing, logistics, and production systems may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Effective verbal and written communication skills in English are required, along with familiarity with various concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.

Additional Information:
The salary range for this position is between $65,000 and $105,000, in addition to discretionary bonuses, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees may also receive additional compensation for off-shifts. The provided range is Janicki's estimate of the base compensation for this role.

Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.

Janicki Industries is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, marital or familial status, physical or mental disability, genetic information, age, retaliation, veteran/military service status, or any other legally protected status.

As a federal contractor, Janicki adheres to federal drug testing requirements, including pre-employment drug testing.

Due to the nature of our work in aerospace and the prevalence of safety-sensitive positions, we prioritize employee safety and require successful completion of a pre-employment drug test.
