ROLE SUMMARY
This position is based on-site in Hamilton, Washington State.
As a Project Engineer, you will oversee all tasks necessary to successfully finalize an assigned project. Responsibilities encompass customer engagement and the development of Statements of Work (SOW), through design processes, to manufacturing assistance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate directly with clients and internal technical teams to ensure advancement through all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Engage in communication and consultation regarding design and manufacturing support.
- Assist in formulating and executing planning and procurement of materials.
- Create and implement comprehensive project plans, managing timelines and budgets effectively.
- Work closely with the customer’s technical team to ascertain detailed requirements and deliverables, providing updates on project status.
- Lead and participate in engineering tasks, including design, drafting, and preparation of work orders.
- Ensure materials are systematically organized and prepared for manufacturing, including managing procurement activities.
- Regularly interact with the shop floor to monitor project health, potentially maintaining a daily presence.
- Understand and fulfill all quality standards associated with projects.
- Manage project scope and conduct risk assessments.
- Track and report on project financial performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
This role necessitates the capability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will support the process of gaining this access once employed.
Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are essential for this position and require candidates to agree to participate in a Continuous Evaluation program.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline is required.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Proficiency in CATIA and NX or equivalent CAD software is essential.
- Experience in working with composites within a lean manufacturing context.
- A background in construction or architecture is preferred but not mandatory.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The salary range for this position is between $68,000 - $145,000, in addition to a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees may also receive extra compensation for off-shifts. The range provided reflects Janicki's estimate of the base salary for this role.
The actual amount offered will depend on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
This position is classified by Janicki as a safety-sensitive role.
