ROLE OVERVIEW
This position requires on-site engagement in Hamilton, Washington State.
As a Project Engineer, you will oversee all phases of assigned projects, ensuring successful execution from initial customer interaction and Statement of Work (SOW) development through to design and manufacturing support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate closely with clients and internal technical teams to monitor project lifecycle stages.
- Engage in design consultations and provide manufacturing support.
- Assist in the formulation and release of planning documents and procurement of materials.
- Create and implement comprehensive project plans, managing timelines and budgets effectively.
- Work directly with client technical teams to clarify detailed requirements and deliverables, regularly updating them on project status.
- Lead engineering activities, including design, drafting, and work order preparation.
- Ensure materials are organized and ready for production, including managing purchasing tasks.
- Maintain frequent communication with the shop floor to monitor project health, potentially being present daily.
- Fulfill all quality assurance requirements for projects.
- Manage project scope and conduct risk assessments.
- Track and report on project financial performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
This role necessitates the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will facilitate this process post-employment.
Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are essential for this position and require candidates to agree to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline is mandatory.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Proficiency in CATIA and NX or similar CAD software is essential.
- Experience in working with composites within a lean manufacturing framework.
- A background in construction or architecture is preferred but not obligatory.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The salary range for this position is between $68,000 - $145,000, complemented by a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Additional compensation may be available for off-shift work. The provided range represents Janicki's estimate of the base salary for this role.
The actual offer will be determined based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
