POSITION OVERVIEW
Janicki Industries is a pioneering, family-operated aerospace firm dedicated to engineering and fabricating intricate projects for the aerospace, defense, and space sectors. We are currently seeking a Project Engineer to contribute to our dynamic team.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is based on-site in Hamilton, Washington State.

As a Project Engineer, you will oversee all tasks necessary for the successful completion of designated projects. Responsibilities may encompass customer engagement and the formulation of Statements of Work (SOW), progressing through design phases to manufacturing assistance.

The key responsibilities of a Project Engineer include:

1. Collaborating closely with clients and internal technical teams to ensure advancement throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
2. Engaging in communication and consultation with design and manufacturing teams.
3. Assisting in the development and execution of planning and procurement processes.
4. Crafting and implementing comprehensive project plans, including schedule and budget management.
5. Working directly with customer technical teams to clarify detailed requirements and deliverables, and providing updates on project status.
6. Leading and participating in engineering tasks, including design reviews and preparation of work orders.
7. Ensuring materials are systematically organized and prepared for manufacturing, including conducting purchasing activities.
8. Regularly interacting with the shop floor to monitor project health; may involve daily presence on-site.
9. Understanding and fulfilling all quality standards associated with projects.
10. Managing project scope and conducting risk assessments.
11. Tracking and reporting on project financial performance.

The Project Engineer role encompasses various levels of expertise, determined by performance, certifications, and supervisor evaluation.

QUALIFICATIONS
To qualify for this position, candidates must be able to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist in obtaining this clearance once employed.

Participation in a Continuous Evaluation program is mandatory for this role due to Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline is essential.
Proven leadership skills are required.
Experience with CATIA and NX or similar CAD software is necessary.
Familiarity with composites in a lean manufacturing context is required.
A background in construction or architecture is preferred but not mandatory.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The salary range for this position is between $68,000 - $145,000, in addition to a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees may also receive extra compensation for off-shifts. The provided range reflects Janicki's estimate of the base salary for this position.

The actual offer will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.

This position is classified by Janicki as a safety-sensitive role.
