Job Overview

Position Summary

The Front Desk Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring exceptional service delivery and operational efficiency within the property management environment. This position involves overseeing front desk operations while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for residents and guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of community policies and procedures to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
  • Oversee the functionality of life safety systems, taking necessary actions to guarantee the safety of residents, guests, and staff.
  • Implement and enforce resident guest policies to enhance security and privacy.
  • Provide leadership to foster effective collaboration among various departments, aiming for superior resident service and achievement of organizational goals.
  • Manage staff scheduling to meet operational needs while minimizing overtime.
  • Review and approve departmental schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Enhance resident relations through effective communication and timely resolution of concerns, promoting high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Set performance standards and ensure adherence through regular follow-ups and training.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries and correspondence, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Encourage adherence to safety protocols among staff and residents.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and timely updates in management systems.
  • Regularly process work orders and violations as necessary.
  • Conduct property rounds to ensure compliance with safety procedures by all individuals on-site.
  • Document daily activities and any irregularities, including incidents of property damage or unauthorized access.
  • Manage the reception and delivery of packages to residents.

Work Environment

This role primarily involves indoor work, requiring a balance of standing and sitting throughout the day.

Physical Requirements

Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, which may include occasional lifting, bending, and reaching, as well as manual dexterity and the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.

Employment Type

This is a full-time position with variable hours determined by property needs.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; AA or BA degree preferred.
  • Strong supervisory experience is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience is necessary.
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish and English may be required for certain properties.

Reporting Structure

The Front Desk Supervisor reports directly to the Property Manager.
