Job Summary

Oceans Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Financial Intake Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of patient financial information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Admission Processing: Verify patient insurance coverage, obtain necessary signatures, and distribute admitting documents to ensure accurate and timely financial processing.
  • Account Management: Monitor and analyze accounts receivable management indicators, ensuring active patient accounts receive documented follow-up and are classified and/or reclassified as necessary.
  • Adjustments and Refunds: Ensure accurate and timely posting of adjustments and refunds, resolving accounting problems and disputed amounts.
  • Payment Arrangements: Facilitate payment arrangements for non-covered or poorly covered services, patients, and/or guarantors to resolve accounting issues.
  • Reporting and Data Analysis: Prepare and report credit reports to Trispan and UNYSIS quarterly, and provide cost report information and updates on code listing information.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure billing logs are accurate and complete, and perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma preferred, with at least 7 years of experience in a related field, including data entry, clerical, finance, and accounting abilities.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Versatile, flexible, and able to perform in stressful situations, with excellent time management and organizational skills, and the ability to work with an array of mentally/physically disabled persons in an age/disability, culturally sensitive manner.
Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment, with occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries. The successful candidate will be able to cope mentally and physically with the demands of the role.
