Job Summary

CMU Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team. As a Patient Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Reception and Registration
    • Register patients for appointments and services
    • Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information
    • Prepare patient charts and medical records
  • Appointment Scheduling and Coordination
    • Schedule appointments and procedures for patients
    • Coordinate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure seamless patient care
  • Communication and Customer Service
    • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
    • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families
  • Financial Transactions and Data Entry
    • Collect and process patient payments and co-pays
    • Enter patient data and information into our electronic health record system
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Previous experience in a patient service or administrative role preferred
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
    • Proficient in the use of electronic health record systems and other software applications
