Position Purpose:
Assist the Human Resources Office in fostering a welcoming atmosphere for the community while undertaking a variety of administrative responsibilities, such as data management, scheduling, compliance checks, and engaging in special projects.
Key Skills:
- Fundamental office and administrative capabilities
- Support with HR compliance tasks, including I-9 verification
- Assistance in professional communication
- Data management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Oracle, and WordPress
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist visitors both in-person and via phone; take messages as necessary
- Coordinate appointments using Google Calendar
- Input data through various software applications
- Extract and download information from systems as required
- Conduct audits and support adherence to document retention policies
- Assist in the completion of I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification
- Engage in special projects as assigned
- Scan, link, and proofread employee documentation
- Update departmental website content
- Transcribe handwritten notes
- Maintain student job bulletin boards
- Order flowers for staff as needed

- Attention to detail in all tasks
- Accurate data entry capabilities
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ownership of assigned responsibilities

- Skill in crafting clear, professional correspondence
- Proficiency or willingness to learn Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Google Suite, Oracle, and WordPress

Students must have a work award on file to be eligible for the student employment program.
