Position Summary

ROLE SUMMARY

  • Collaborate closely with organizational leadership to formulate and implement strategic HR initiatives that align with both short-term and long-term business objectives, enhancing the overall efficiency of the organization and the HR department. Oversee HR functions such as strategic recruitment, employee relations advisory, talent management strategies, organizational development projects, compensation structuring, change management, conflict resolution, and diversity and inclusion efforts. Proactively assess and address HR-related requirements to ensure compliance, reduce risks, and enhance employee engagement and retention through a focus on employee relations, professional development, performance evaluation, and adherence to employment laws.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

CONSULTATION

  • Act as the main liaison for business leadership regarding all HR-related matters and initiatives.
  • Deliver strategic HR consulting and mentorship aimed at influencing leadership decisions.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of the business unit's financial health, strategic objectives, culture, and competitive landscape.
  • Drive productivity and performance by utilizing HR analytics to identify business challenges, trends, and necessary adjustments, including key metrics, employee relations issues, and turnover reasons.

STRATEGIC PLANNING

  • Work alongside business leaders to shape organizational strategy, talent acquisition, employee development, performance evaluation, compensation, benefits, and labor relations.
  • Transform organizational requirements into actionable plans to meet strategic goals.
  • Ensure that HR policies and procedures align with the organization's needs and objectives.

TALENT STRATEGY

  • Design and implement strategic talent management initiatives, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, retention strategies, performance management, employee engagement, training and development, and succession planning, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Enhance cross-cultural competence among leaders and teams through support of training initiatives and diversity councils, considering the cross-cultural implications of business decisions.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on organizational restructuring, workforce planning, and succession strategies to strengthen leadership capabilities.
  • Identify and facilitate tailored executive coaching opportunities.

CHANGE LEADERSHIP

  • Support organizational change by educating and influencing leadership while considering impacts on business objectives.
  • Offer thought leadership on the strategic delivery of HR initiatives, emphasizing the value of these initiatives.
  • Oversee the implementation of HR programs to minimize disruption, collaborating with leaders for effective communication and execution.

COLLABORATION

  • Partner with Centers of Expertise (Employee Relations, Compensation, Benefits, HR Technology, Talent Acquisition, and Talent Development) to ensure seamless delivery of HR services.
  • Build collaborative relationships across the HR function to provide value-added services that reflect the organization's business objectives.
  • Utilize a comprehensive understanding of HR programs to manage the execution of annual and ad-hoc HR initiatives.
  • This role does not include direct supervisory responsibilities; however, the HRBP will leverage their HR expertise to mentor and coach other department members and contribute to company-wide HR strategies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related business field.

Professional Experience

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in Human Resources Generalist or Business Partner roles, demonstrating expertise across various HR disciplines, including compensation, organizational assessment, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and compliance with employment laws.
  • Proven experience in consulting, influencing, and collaborating with business leaders to develop and implement people strategies that enhance business performance.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong background in employee relations and investigative processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and critical deadlines effectively.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions for complex challenges.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage diverse workloads and high-volume tasks.
  • Strong influencing capabilities with stakeholders and a track record of success in complex organizational environments.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with HR/Payroll systems such as Oracle, Workday, or SAP.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% for business purposes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Professional certification in Human Resources (PHR or SPHR).
  • Experience in specialized HR areas such as Employee Relations, Talent Management, Recruitment, or Compensation and Benefits.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop HR strategic initiatives that align with business objectives and budget considerations.
  • Knowledge and experience with PeopleSoft.
