Position Overview:

The Senior IT Project Leader is responsible for overseeing all facets of project execution, including technical, contractual, administrative, and financial aspects. This role involves managing multiple projects concurrently, supervising team members engaged in various project activities, and ensuring the successful completion of all assigned responsibilities. The leader will maintain communication with clients to guarantee compliance with all contractual requirements. Collaboration with all stakeholders impacted by the project, including end users and IT services, is essential. The role also includes ensuring quality standards are met and reviewing project outputs. The Senior IT Project Leader will manage vendor task integration and monitor vendor deliverables, providing recommendations to address and resolve issues as they arise. This position requires independent judgment and advanced analytical skills to tackle complex technical, administrative, and managerial challenges.

*This role is contingent upon contract award.*

Key Responsibilities:

Management of the overall contract and contractor personnel, which includes:
• Collaborating with leadership and federal staff to validate and define IT strategies.
• Monitoring departmental objectives and initiatives.
• Working with contractor staff to develop lifecycle replacement strategies for hardware, software, and networking assets managed by TCO.
• Coordinating with contractor personnel to track project progress, task completion, and deliverables through regular reporting intervals.
• Ensuring compliance with all federal and agency policies and procedures.
• Overseeing that team members maintain the necessary training to support Census Systems and emerging technologies.

Qualifications (Education/Skills/Experience):

Education: A minimum of a BS/BA degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.

Experience: At least 8 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 4 years in a supervisory capacity.

Clearance: An active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain one. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or National Residents eligible for Public Trust Clearance.
