We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to support our customers' success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with engineers to identify, assess, and present solution options for meeting functional and technical requirements.
  • Develop documentation for system installation plans and system administration guides.
  • Provide transparent and regular status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot routers and switches.
  • Document and enforce hardware standards.
  • Manage and maintain IP addressing schema.
  • Perform security hardening, patching, and server certificate updates.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by lead engineers or project managers.
Requirements
  • Requires a Master's degree with 15+ years of prior relevant experience or a Doctorate with 13+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with Cisco switches, routers, and Cisco management software (DNAC, ISE, UCS, CUCM).
  • Ability to translate networking and communications rated business requirements into secure telecommunications solutions.
  • Expert knowledge of networking infrastructure, including routing, switching, gateways, VPNs, and MPLS networking.
  • Experience with engineering and design support for tactical communication systems.
  • Currently possess an active Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent customer-facing skills.
  • Excellent researching, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Visio.
  • Must possess an active DoD 8570, IAT Level II Certification.
  • Cisco CCNP and/or CCIE.
  • VMWare VCP datacenter.
Desired Skills and Certifications
  • VMWare NSX suite.
  • Protocols: BGP, OSPF, VRF, VXLAN, VLANs, TCP/IP, IPSEC, spanning tree, 802.1x.
