Overview

We are seeking a dedicated professional with a strong background in GIS, communication networks, 5G technology, and broadband development. This role is essential to enhancing Esri's Telecommunications sales team. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused and a collaborative team player, skilled in identifying and executing strategies that address organizational challenges. You will work alongside a team that supports major telecommunications firms in optimizing and broadening the use of Esri technology, uncovering new growth opportunities, and providing expertise that aligns with their objectives.

Responsibilities

Cultivate Relationships. Develop and implement location-based strategies for large, intricate organizations. Generate new opportunities within high-profile accounts and strengthen existing relationships. Engage in and present at industry events, workshops, and seminars. Understand Client Needs. Exhibit advanced knowledge of the industry and its relevance to GIS applications. Identify key stakeholders and business drivers within organizations, gaining access to executive-level decision-makers. Comprehend complex budgeting and acquisition processes of clients. Continuous Learning. Clearly communicate the strengths and advantages of Esri technology as it pertains to the Telecommunications sector. Regularly conduct research and pursue professional development to maintain competitive insights. Utilize innovative presentation skills to enhance visual storytelling. Achieve Results. Proactively manage the account and sales processes for all opportunities to meet revenue targets. Continuously assess work contributions towards fulfilling customer needs. Collaborate Effectively. Lead account strategies through consistent collaboration with teams across Esri and its business partners. Actively share knowledge and mentor team members. Demonstrate motivation and resourcefulness, taking initiative to resolve challenges.

Requirements

Strong understanding of GIS, Esri technology, and the Telecommunications sector. In-depth knowledge of the telecommunications industry, network management, and emerging technology trends, with the ability to translate these into complex solutions for clients. Minimum of 5 years in enterprise sales or relevant consulting/program management experience. Proficient visual storyteller and negotiator at all organizational levels. Experience managing the sales cycle, fostering partnerships, and establishing trust with large clients. Strong financial and business acumen to develop compelling account growth strategies. Familiarity with industry fiscal years, budgeting, and procurement cycles. Willingness to travel domestically or internationally 25-50% of the time. Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field.

Recommended Qualifications

General knowledge of data science or spatial analysis and its application in problem-solving and identifying patterns within organizations. Interest in collaborating with Esri partners to develop co-selling strategies that best support our clients. Master’s degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field.
