POSITION SUMMARY

The Client Relationship Manager is accountable for overseeing the business operations of assigned clients within specific customer accounts. The primary focus is to enhance sales and expand market presence for the brands represented, while ensuring profitability for both our manufacturers and Acosta Group.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Achieve client objectives, including sales volume and essential sales practices (merchandising, product assortment, pricing strategies, and shelf placement) at the assigned accounts while maintaining cost efficiency.

+ Formulate a comprehensive Client Business Strategy that aligns with the business priorities of the principals.

+ Engage directly with key decision-makers at client locations to present business strategies, programs, and concepts that foster long-term growth.

+ Maximize results while minimizing selling costs, ensuring optimal revenue generation (including brokerage, commissions, bonuses, and contest earnings). Supervise all expenditures related to manufacturers at the client level.

+ Attain a competitive edge in-store presence across assigned locations. Conduct visits to headquarters, supervisors, and other operational personnel for both direct and indirect clients. Manage trade marketing funds, facilitate direct shipments, and utilize data to advocate concepts to clients.

+ Operate within the allocated budget.

+ Maintain proactive communication with key stakeholders.

+ Collaborate with Retail Sales Managers on significant retail initiatives (new product launches, sales campaigns, contests, etc.).

+ Leverage knowledge of the client, market dynamics, and principal resources, including marketing, technology, and administrative support, to meet objectives.

+ Provide timely updates on sales priorities to Retail Sales Managers, supervisors, and shared resources (marketing, technology, and administration).

+ Share insights and information regarding clients and principals with team members to enhance organizational capabilities.

+ Utilize technology and computer systems to fulfill the objectives of the Client Business Strategy. Continuously develop skills to effectively use Acosta communication systems.

+ Offer constructive feedback to the Team Leader and/or General Manager on strategies to enhance organizational capacity and business performance.

+ Complete special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

+ At least six months of relevant experience in retail (CPG industry), marketing, space management, or resets. Experience in sales administration or finance is preferred.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook, along with a strong understanding of web-based applications. Excellent presentation and communication skills are essential. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

+ Valid driver's license required.

+ This role necessitates driving on behalf of Acosta Group; therefore, any DUI/DWI conviction within the past 36 months will disqualify the candidate.
