We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at the Child Development Center. As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide frontline support to childcare operations, ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of the center. This is a part-time position, working 29 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 7am and 7pm.
Key Responsibilities- Provide front desk coverage, log children in and out, and answer questions regarding programs and services.
- Ensure child registration and enrollment paperwork is complete and current.
- Take telephone calls and respond to inquiries, referring calls to supervisor or other personnel when necessary.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports in compliance with reporting policies and procedures.
- Charge and record payments in accordance with proper procedures.
- Monitor supplies and resources, notifying supervisor of items that need to be ordered.
- Interact professionally with employees, parents, and local community members.
- Maintain confidential filing systems and records.
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills and ability to apply sound judgment in resolving customer-related issues.
- Knowledge of childcare operations is preferred.
