Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team at South Bay Sand Blasting & Tank Cleaning, Inc. in Norfolk, VA.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to multitask, and possess a positive attitude. They will be responsible for managing our front desk, performing administrative tasks, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Greets clients, visitors, and employees with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Announces clients, visitors, and employees as necessary.
- Helps maintain workplace security by issuing, checking, and collecting badges as necessary and maintaining visitor logs.
- Updates and processes Access lists for all Prime contractors and Ship Access.
- Assists with various administrative tasks, including copying, faxing, and preparing meeting rooms.
- Answers phones in a professional manner and routes calls as necessary.
- Assists colleagues with administrative tasks and provides support as needed.
- Sorts and distributes mail.
- Provides excellent customer service and assists job seekers with employment applications.
- Keeps the reception/lobby area clean and organized by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Education Requirements:

Working Environment and Physical Demands:
The Receptionist will work in an office setting and must be able to sit and stand as needed. They will be required to work varying schedules and hours as needed (full-time). Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Other requirements:
