Position Overview:
The Accounting Associate Manager role is integral to our Corporate Accounting team, reporting directly to the Accounting Manager. This position is a key player in the Record-to-Report General Ledger team, focusing on global technical accounting applications and supporting the BlackLine platform for North America and the Parent Company.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Accounting Associate Manager, your duties will include:

  • Overseeing BlackLine balance sheet account reconciliations for North America and headquarters, acting as the backup Local Administrator for the North America region, and managing future BlackLine projects.
  • Maintaining and providing guidance on all Global Finance Policies.
  • Budgeting for Global Risk Management insurance expenses and consolidating the global budget for Special Items.
  • Collaborating with Global Internal Audit to manage SOAR control frameworks.
  • Partnering with Corporate Tax, Corporate Treasury, Shared Service Centers, Global Internal Audit, and Business Unit Finance to ensure accurate accounting practices.
  • Conducting accounting research and drafting position papers on significant accounting pronouncements.
  • Keeping abreast of external accounting news and guidance to assess potential impacts on SC Johnson.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills:
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

  • Proactive initiative with exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication abilities and the capacity to build relationships across all levels of the finance organization.
  • The skill to summarize financial data clearly and concisely to facilitate timely and informed decision-making.
  • Experience with SAP and BPC is preferred, with specific knowledge of SAP hierarchy and navigation being advantageous.

Job Requirements:
This is a full-time position. Please note that relocation assistance is not available for this role. Eligible employees may work remotely one day a week.
