ROLE OVERVIEW

The Associate Manager, Accounting will oversee the North America Accounts Payable Special Processing team. This role is pivotal in managing daily operations related to Concur Expense, Credit Card Management, Payments, and Vendor Master Data Administration, ensuring adherence to both local and global policies and internal controls.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and direct the NA Accounts Payable Special Processing team, establishing clear and measurable objectives.
  • Supervise a team of 4-6 members, including both exempt and non-exempt staff, while managing performance evaluations and career development initiatives.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure timely handling of Credit Card Help Desk inquiries, Expense/Card audits, Payments, and Vendor Master Data requests.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify and resolve operational challenges.
  • Ensure accurate preparation of reconciliations and reports in compliance with established policies.
  • Coordinate month-end, year-end, and fiscal year-end activities within the Accounts Payable function.
  • Support the testing and implementation of enhancements to Accounts Payable systems or the integration of new processes.
  • Provide backup support to the Expense Global Process Owner as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, preferably in Accounting.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a strong preference for management experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience with Concur or similar global travel and expense systems.
  • 1-3 years of demonstrated proficiency in SAP, particularly in vendor master and payment processes.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.

  • Strategic thinking skills, balancing high-level insights with detailed execution.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with process improvements and a lean mindset.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This is a full-time position.
  • Remote work options are available for eligible employees.
  • This role does not offer relocation assistance.
